Homa Yeganegi was born in Tehran and graduated from Tehran University in Biology. She then moved to Australia and studied at University of Western Australia for her Masters and PhD in Neurophysiology and Anatomy.
Homa migrated to United States in 1982 where she met her husband Kambiz Yeganegi. They have been married for 25 years, have three sons and live in San Francisco.
She started as a Research Scientist at Children’s Hospital Cancer Center and then Amgen Biotech. She worked there for 19 years and was an integral part of building new capabilities in clinical development and Medical Affairs in US and Globally.
She is currently the Vice President of Scientific Affairs at ONYX pharmaceutical company in San Francisco.
Homa's work focuses in the area of Cancer with the opportunity of making new treatments available to patients. She has a great passion for supporting causes for Cancer specifically as it relates to children. She has served on the board of ISCC since 2008.
